Not a great deal to write home about in three starts in novice events over 1m. Plenty of stamina in pedigree, however, and no surprise to see her improve over this longer trip in handicap company for the first time.

Only limited promise as a juvenile over 6f/7f and handicap debut on his seasonal reappearance saw him finish seventh of nine over 6f at Wolverhampton. Takes a big leap in trip and breeding suggests he may have a stamina issue.

Two good runs over C&D on last two starts. Up 2lb after finishing second of eight to Miniature Daffodil on his latest outing, but looks sure to be in the firing line. Much preferred to stable companion Little Aub.

Beat Arlecchino's Arc (2lb better off for ¾L) over C&D before finishing third of eight at Lingfield. It should be close between the pair again and the fitting of cheekpieces for this gelding suggests there may be something left in the locker.

Three modest runs in novice races from 7f to 1m2f preceded a sixth of nine in a Lingfield handicap. Back up in trip and 3lb lower, but has questions to answer.

No real show in three runs as a juvenile and handicap debut on reappearance over 1m4f at Wolverampton was no more encouraging. Has been dropped 5lb and races over shorter in first-time blinkers. Plenty to prove.

Forecasts

Miniature Daffodil (6/4), Arlecchino's Arc (7/4), Snatty Dancer (6/1), Aiglette (10/1), Banjo's Voice (20/1), Little Aub (25/1)

Verdict

Snatty Dancer hails from a shrewd stable and is almost certainly capable of much better than she has shown, particularly over this longer trip. She is worth a check in the betting market, but this could be fought out by old rivals Arlecchino's Arc and MINIATURE DAFFODIL. The latter is fitted with cheekpieces for the first time so connections must feel he has more to offer. The others don't seem to have established their best distance so far and are best watched.
  1. Miniature Daffodil
  2. Arlecchino's Arc
  3. Snatty Dancer
