No wins on his CV since winning over C&D (April 2015) off a 5lb higher mark when with his former yard. Shaped well in his early outings for this yard but his recent runs have been poor; folded up very quickly last time and not one to trust.

Starting to look very well handicapped on last year's form but proving more miss than hit this season despite the reduced mark. Losing run now stretches back to 2015 (27lb below that mark now) and finds little off the bridle these days.

Age: 11|  Weight: 10-11| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: D L Williams| OR:  85
Has a very erratic recent pattern to his form with and without headgear and his last few runs have hardly offered much in the way of encouragement. Fared poorly after a break last time and isn't the best jumper of fences; mark dropping rapidly.

Show's Overt,v21
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-8| J: David Noonan| T: Tim Vaughan| OR:  82| BF
Hasn't won in a while like a few in this field (two wins in 2016) and his form since has a rather undulating profile. Back from a break last time he produced a decent effort (runner-up) and if he can repeat that he would be dangerous off this mark.

Age: 11|  Weight: 10-4| J: R T Dunne| T: T R Gretton| OR:  78| CD
Best summed up by his chasing record of 1/24 with nine placed efforts often cruising into races and delivering zero at the finish when asked for an effort. His recent efforts have been poor; returns to the scene of his one win off the same mark.

Forecasts

Tactical Manoeuvre (9/4), Show's Over (11/4), Gores Island (9/2), Irish Thistle (6/1), Mr Muddle (8/1), Yourholidayisover (8/1)

Verdict

A bunch that can best be described as eclectic and it’s hard to be convinced about the claims of any of the sextet. Both Mr Muddle and Gores Island have been capable of better in the past but they are hard to trust even off reduced marks. Tactical Manoeuvre may have found his stride over fences after his last effort but it was hardly the most convincing and SHOW’S OVER who acts on the ground and resides on a dangerous mark could be the one to take a chance with here. Yourholidayisover has tested the patience of punters to the limit over the years and it may take more than a return to the scene of his only win to see him winning again.

  2. Tactical Manoeuvre
  3. Mr Muddle
