Placed in two of his last three maiden hurdles between August and November. Market likely to reveal expectations on handicap hurdle debut.
Winner of a Flat maiden on heavy ground but his form took a downward turn subsequently. No show in three starts over hurdles and very little to be positive about.
Modest performer has already dropped 13lb from his initial handicap mark. Requires a chunk of improvement to play a role here.
Hasn't been able to build on a promising handicap debut at Navan in March well beaten in three subsequent starts over 2m - 2m2f. Looks in need of some relief from the handicapper.
C&D winner turned out quickly after failing to make all at Wexford earlier last month before winning here just over a week ago. Tendency to jump left and 7lb rise for his efforts a worry.
18 race maiden unlucky last time out in a Limerick handicap hurdle last month when second of seven beaten 1¼L. Up 2lb for that effort and must improve again.
Not much to glean from either of his four previous starts and may find this tough though worth a market check as yard like a winner at this meeting.
Last of eight beaten 31L in a Roscommon chase when last seen in May. Given a chance by the handicapper on return to the track and over timber in first time cheekpieces.
Has failed to finish on two starts for new yard since a switch from first, the Tony Martin and, then, Matthew Smith stables. Was in a moderate third when falling last time out here over C&D and not totally dismissed.
Has disappointed connections in a number of desolate performances including a 150L defeat last time out at Gowran Park in March.
Failed to build on a promising Punchestown run in December when taking a keen hold at Thurles in February before weakening to finish eighth of 15 over 2m7f. Major drop in trip here and market likely to be the best guide.
Yet to finish within 40L of a winner despite having been given plenty of chances, including in similar contests to this. Others hold far more convincing claims on handicap debut.
Disappointed connections in a series of drab efforts last year over a spring/summer/autumn campaign and unlikely to fare any better here despite first time cheekpieces.
18-race maiden and well beaten on all six starts since November. Hard to fancy until he shows a hint of ability.

POUND A STROKE will possibly lay claims to the contest from the outset here as he has done on his last two starts when third of 12 at Wexford and a win over C&D both last month. The Sonny Mac gelding carries 7lb more here but that may not be enough to stop the six-year-old who is clearly in good heart. Runner-up last time out Bracklin Princess, Port Rashid and Urbanist can battle for the place money.
