Made the perfect start to his career when winning at Exeter (2m1f, soft) in February. Had a couple of previous winners in behind that day and he is one to note under a penalty today.
Finished 36L behind today's rival Unwin Vc when finishing sixth at Exeter on debut in February. Needs to improve if he's to take this contest.
Beat just one rival home when finishing eighth on debut over an extended 2m at Doncaster (good-to-soft) in February. Likely to improve on that effort today.

Failed to beat a rival home when finishing last of nine on debut at Bangor (good). Wears a hood and tongue tie for the first time today.

Unraced son of Schiaparelli out of a dual bumper winning mare. Stable are in great form at present (5/7) and have a 14% strike-rate (12/86) in bumpers in recent seasons. Tongue tied for today's debut.
Unraced son of Shantou purchased for €28,000 at the sales as a foal. Half-brother to classy chaser Black Hercules among others and an interesting contender on debut.
Unraced son of Shirocco cost €68,000 at the sales last year. Half-brother to useful hurdler Amore Alato and worth a check in the market on debut.
Unraced home-bred son of Arvico out of a multiple point-to-point winner. Market support would be interesting on his racecourse debut.

Fair form in two bumpers here so far. Finished fourth of 12 on the most recent of those and represents a stable with a 20% strike-rate (5/25) in recent weeks.

Forecasts

Dusky Hercules (9/4), Kauto The King (10/3), Dorking Boy (7/2), Unwin Vc (4/1), Eva's Oskar (14/1), Larch Hill (14/1), Flying Away (25/1), Corsecombe (33/1), Steve Mequine (50/1)

Verdict

UNWIN VC impressed when winning on debut back in February and he looks capable of following up in the concluding bumper. Dorking Boy is an interesting runner for trainer Tom Lacey and the son of a dual bumper winner can finish runner-up on his debut while Kauto The King hails from a top stable and he can finish third.
  1. Unwin Vc
  2. Dorking Boy
  3. Kauto The King
