Two solid efforts out of three since the turn of the year including finishing second of 13 beaten 7½L and can hit the frame in first time tongue tie.
Gelding by Doyen out of a Shernazar mare and related to Kumbeshwar and multiple winner Valdez. Well beaten in two bumper efforts and needs to improve to figure.
Network gelding out of a April Night mare beaten over 43L in a Dawstown point-to-point before a promising third of 17 on stable debut in a Thurles maiden hurdle in February. One for the shortlist.
Eye-catching in two point-to-point performances but may need the run following a year off. Comes from the right stable and worth a market check on bumper debut.
Pulled up and a 22L defeat in two point-to-point starts since the turn of the year. Very little to be positive about on rules debut.
Cheap purchase who has shown little so far under rules and was pulled up in a January point-to-point when last seen.
Flemensfirth gelding out of a Saddlers' Hall mare related to the likes of Waiting Patiently and Joe Lively. Tailed off on debut in a Limerick bumper last month. Vast improvement needed to figure.
Gelding by Spanish Moon out of a Linamix mare related to Laurina - winner at the Cheltenham festival - and money spinning French hurdler Danse Avec Jersey. Market likely to reveal expectations on debut.
Beat Hollow gelding half-brother to French hurdle/chase winner up to 2m3f Une Lapin Rouge. Won sole point-to-point in April but suffered a surprise defeat on soft ground on rules debut at Fairyhouse in February. Will be better here for that run.
Witness Box gelding who beat an odds-on rival on his only point-to-point start at Boulta before finishing fourth of nine in a bumper here in January. Looks a long term prospect.
Had shown relatively little in two maiden hurdle starts before two bumper defeats the latest coming in February. May find it another struggle here.
Forecasts
Stay Humble (4/6), Denwork (7/2), Impatient Partner (5/1), Buck A Trend (12/1), Cairnhill (16/1), Lily Of Leysbourne (25/1), Sullane Hill (25/1), Ring The Moon (25/1), Our Marvmichael (33/1), Middle Field (100/1), Murder Mile (100/1)
STAY HUMBLE will no doubt come on for his shock defeat - at odds of 4/6 - in February at Fairyhouse and can take this contest for powerful owner/trainer/jockey combination appreciating the step up in trip attempting to make all in the closing race. Gigginstown representative Denwork and the Noel Meade-trained Impatient Partner are two to note as future prospects.
- Stay Humble
- Denwork
