Finished third of five in the Grade 3 Bobby Jo chase in February and C&D 12L winner of this contest last year off a 2lb higher mark but out of sorts since.
Has improved 8lb throughout the season with his best performance coming when winning the Grade B Troytown in November. Likely to be a warm order here.
Course winner that has also won over the distance. Winner of a Wexford veterans chase last month beating eight rivals ¾L but needs to step up to the plate again here.
Rock-solid performer over a summer jumping campaign running well without winning. Coming back from a lay-off and may find this tough with losing run now reading 11.
Has struggled behind Youcantcallherthat on her last two starts following a win at Fairyhouse in February over 2m5f. Will no doubt come on for the experience and possibly one for next season.
Forecasts
Mala Beach (8/13), Sumos Novios (3/1), West Bridge (6/1), Val De Ferbet (12/1), The Winkler (25/1)
MALA BEACH should not find a way to lose this Grade 3 contest considering he beat Val De Ferbet soundly last time out at Down Royal when 4lb better off. The pair reunite here with the selection now 6lb to the good over his rival. Sumos Novios is a course winner who has also won over the trip and can challenge Val De Ferbet for the runner up position.
- Mala Beach
- Val De Ferbet
- Sumos Novios
