Rock Of Gibraltar gelding out of a Montjeu mare related to hurdling great Hurricane Fly. Possibly flattered to deceive on debut when finishing fifth of 12 beaten 59L in a Gowran Park maiden hurdle. Worth a market check on second start.

Gelding by Mastercraftsman out of Perse who fetched €45,000 as a three-year-old. Always towards rear and never a factor on debut at Fairyhouse last month. Others preferred.

Probably deserved to be demoted when handed second by the stewards after being first past the post at Cork on hurdling debut in January. Well beaten by poor hurdling on three occasions since and others hold stronger profiles.
Intikhab gelding out of a Nomadic Way mare related to multiple winners Kempes, Silk Drum and recent Cheltenham festival winner Mohaayed. Market likely to reveal expectations.
Modest 53-rated handicapper on the Flat and well beaten on two hurdle starts in August failing to beat any of his 19 rivals home. Looks a tall order on form shown.
Gelding by Malinas out of a Alflora gelding related to 134-rated chaser Black Thunder and Harry Fry's highly touted American. Top yard not renowned for their hurdlers but worth a market check.

Picked up for 35,000 gns from William Haggas in July. Work in progress looks to be coming together following an eye-catching run last time out at Wexford following two poor runs for new connections. Market should be informative.

Horse silk
16/1
78-rated handicapper on the Flat and never out of the frame in three starts on soft ground. Not one to leave out of calculations on hurdling debut.
Was never getting to the winner when finishing second of nine in a Limerick bumper earlier in the month. Not easy to discount but yard under the weather of late.

Developed into a useful middle-distance handicapper for Andrew Balding and showed he handles soft ground. Weakened before the last on hurdling debut finishing sixth of nine at Wexford earlier this month. Will look to improve here.

Horse silk
11/10
77-rated handicapper on the Flat for Richard Hughes and bought for 30,000gns at Newmarket in October. Fifth of nine behind future Cheltenham winner Veneer Of Charmin December. Looks a long term prospect.

50/1
Modest 54-rated handicapper on the Flat mostly round Dundalk on the AW. Hard to fancy until he shows a hint of ability.
Kalanisi gelding out of a Alflora mare related to some game sorts, Katchit, Barizan, Barters Hill and Brain Power. Yard a little out of sorts with six winners from 170 runners this season.
14
Horse silk
66/1
Poor Flat handicapper who has been tailed off in three starts over hurdles. Has done little to enthuse about and others readily preferred.
15
Horse silk
40/1
Kapgarde filly out of a Barathea mare related to some grand servants Garde La Victoire, Clan Des Obeaux and recent Haydock novice hurdle winner Kapga De Lily.

Forecasts

Waterville Dancer (11/10), Park Paddocks (7/2), Galtymore (11/2), Torcello (8/1), Aquarian (8/1), The Big Galloper (14/1), Perfect Soldier (16/1), Moonball (40/1), Magic In The Night (40/1), Lesssaidthebetter (50/1), Wolfofallstreets (50/1), Wicket (50/1), Design Matters (66/1), Bright Lass (66/1), Loose Chippings (66/1)

Verdict

Galtymore could cut out the running here in the early stages with Perfect Soldier, Torcello and Waterville Dancer possibly chasing in behind. The Gordon Elliott-trained PARK PADDOCKS shouldn't be too far back off the pace and Keith Donoghue will be waiting for the right time to send his mount for home. Perfect Soldier and Torcello can eventually battle for the place positions.
  1. Park Paddocks
  2. Perfect Soldier
  3. Torcello
