3-17 on turf, but 0-9 on AW. Now 2lb lower than latest moderate effort at Lingfield last month and needs to show more before becoming a betting proposition on this surface.

Seven-race maiden but went close over this trip at Lingfield on penultimate start last term. Returns from 133-day break and stable going through quiet spell, so on balance others are preferred.

Has more than seven-month absence to overcome. Consistent at this level last term and scored over 1m in Chepstow handicap last July. Fitness taken on trust, but yard in fair form and jockey booking catches the eye.

On a 13-day hattrick after wins here and at Lingfield. Has 6lb penalty to overcome and a slightly longer trip, but clearly in fine fettle and should be very much in the thick of the action once again.

Still a maiden on the AW but failed by just a head to score over C&D last month, and was again runner-up here 13 days ago over 7f. Appears fairly handicapped and comes very much into the reckoning.

Had a rough ride at Kempton last week but ran respectably in 7f maiden here in January. Step up in trip may help but needs to improve. Trainer still yet to saddle a winner.

Forecasts

Ramblow (9/4), Zafaranah (3/1), Beatbybeatbybeat (7/2), Fair Selene (11/2), Hawatif (7/1), Bataka (40/1)

Verdict

There may not be much to choose between RAMBLOW and Beatbybeatbybeat, wth narrow prefernce for the former on the strength of her being in a rich vein of form at present. Beatbybeatbybeat has been knocking on the door and should put up another bold show. Fair Selene is by no means out of the reckoning if fit after her winter break, and Zafaranah deserves to win one at some point, so a market check is advised.
  1. Ramblow
  2. Beatbybeatbybeat
  3. Fair Selene
