Ran well in last year's Scottish National when last seen, having won on soft ground at Carlisle (3m2f) 13-months ago. Consistent performer who should appreciate a 3lb drop for this return run. Goes well enough when fresh and has claims.
Scored from this mark around a year ago at Ayr (3m½f, heavy). Has again been competitive from slightly higher ratings this season and if you can forgive him his latest run in the Eider Chase then he enters calculations.
Showed his best chase form so far last spring when scoring at both Market Rasen and Bangor (both 3m, good). Not in that sort of form back over hurdles at Southwell last time and the forecast conditions are a concern today.
Won four times in 2015 and 2016 from 3m-3m3½f, though has been below par in three starts this season. Now back on his last winning mark, which could spark a revival, but carries risks on what we have seen this term.
Won over C&D in 2016 (heavy) but has now completed just two of his last seven starts. Now 16lb lower than his latest win and has the champ up, but he was on last time too, so hard to be confident that a revival is imminent.
Won a couple of times over fences, including over 3m, for Chris Bealby in 2015/16, the latter from 9lb higher. Largely out of sorts since and now makes debut for this top yard after wind surgery. Market check looks prudent.
Ran up a hat-trick from 3m½f-3m2½f (including on soft) last season and went close at Carlisle in December from 1lb higher than today. However, consistency is proving problematic and while he has the ability to have a say, he carries risks.

Wings Attract (2/1), Goodtoknow (4/1), Dueling Banjos (4/1), Blakemount (9/2), Nortonthorpelegend (11/2), Silver Tassie (11/1), Ganbei (12/1), Gonalston Cloud (14/1)
Wings Attract looks interesting from this mark after wind surgery and on his first run for Dan Skelton and support for him could suggest that a revival is imminent. However, he does have it to prove and BLAKEMOUNT is instead preferred. While he has yet to win when fresh, he usually runs well, while trip and ground both suit and a 3lb drop is also a positive for punters. Silver Tassie is on the short-list, while both Nortonthorpelegend and Goodtoknow could make an impact if on a going day.
- Blakemount
- Wings Attract
- Silver Tassie
