Won over a similar trip a couple of years ago and goes on soft ground. Ran well here over C&D in November from a mark of 120 in a handicap and although not quite as good since, he should proved tough to beat now racing at this level.
Powers have been on the wane of late. Stays 3m and goes on most ground, including this. Beaten 25L by a stablemate in one of these contests here over 2m5½f last week, but probably has place claims in this field.
Has yet to get involved in a bumper and three starts over hurdles and now drops into this grade. Stable won one of these at the track last week, so worth a market check, though can't be recommended on anything we have seen on a racecourse so far.
0-22 over hurdles and a very moderate mare. Has far to much to find at these weights to be considered for win purposes, though not totally ruled out of the frame if everything goes her way. Stamina, among plenty of others things, could be an issue.
Yet to get serious in two starts over hurdles and was 15L behind Rock Of Leon in the same seller here last week. Needs plenty of improvement on that to figure, even if tongue strap proves positive.
Made the frame in a Perth bumper in August (good to soft) but has been unable to make much impact over hurdles. Now switches to this sphere and probably has enough in the locker to chase home the leading players.
Forecasts
Away For Slates (30/100), Rock Of Leon (4/1), Shesthebusiness (18/1), Tekiblue de L'Orme (20/1), Bygones For Coins (50/1), Lady Of The Rea (66/1)
Again, this looks to be another good chance for Dan Skelton to visit the winners' enclosure with AWAY FOR SLATES, who should have too much for his opponents now dropped in grade. Rock Of Leon looks to be next best from what we have seen so far, while Shesthebusiness can probably follow them both home.
