Made a winning debut over fences at Thurles (2m2f, heavy) and placed in a Grade 3 novice event since. Pulled up in a Leopardstown (2m5f, soft) Grade 1 event last time out and is tackling vastly more experienced rivals today.

Successful once from nine starts over fences and ran well to finish fourth in a valuable handicap chase at Gowran Park (2m7f, heavy) earlier this month. Bit to do with a couple of these at today's weights.

Sligo handicap chase winner on heavy ground in September but held in two subsequent outings and plenty to find on official ratings with a couple of these on his return from a break.

Age: 10|  Weight: 11-2| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| OR:  137| D
14/1
Winner of seven races in a 57 race career to date but disappointed when last in action at Sligo (good) in August. Stable going well at present (24/83) and he is an interesting runner today.

Forecasts

Koshari (6/4), Valseur Lido (6/4), Fine Theatre (7/2), Shadow Catcher (14/1), Pumbaa (33/1)

Verdict

VALSEUR LIDO has a bit in hand on his rivals on official ratings and while this trip isn't ideal this looks the ideal opportunity for Henry De Bromhead's charge to get back on track with the Willie Mullins-trained Koshari, who tackles open company for the first time today looking the most likely to chase him home. Gordon Elliott has his string in good form at present and his representative today Shadow Catcher can claim third.
  1. Valseur Lido
  2. Koshari
  3. Shadow Catcher
