Glory Awaits is the only one of these that can be said to be potentially well-handicapped given his best efforts of 2017, but he landed a Chelmsford race where there was a clear advantage to lying up with the pace. This will be a more tactical affair and one where the 7f speed of CUSTARD THE DRAGON may prove telling. All but one of his wins have come at Southwell, but he has gone well here in the past and the stable have a good strike rate in recent weeks. Dark Alliance has been in good form on the surface this winter, but Energia Flavio may want more cover and a stronger pace than he will get on this occasion.
