Runner up in a 7f maiden here for Peter Chapple-Hyam in October 2016 and lightly raced the following campaign (sole start). Shown bits and pieces of form for Robyn Brisland lately and debuts for another new trainer tonight.
Improving filly last back-end recording a couple of victories over 1m, including over C&D in September. Races from a 7lb higher mark nowadays and evidently needed her comeback run earlier in the month.
No stranger to Newcastle with all bar 1 of his 14 AW starts coming at Gosforth Park (two-time 7f winner). Below his best on his last couple of outings, but likely to strip fitter for his recent C&D start (off a 3-month break).
Shot down Grinty by ¾L at Redcar in October (7f) and not entirely disgraced from a 4lb higher mark on his comeback over 7f here last month; finished approx 4L seventh to Athollblair Boy. Second ever AW start, but trip a slight worry.
Landed a 1m Leicester seller in July 2017 beating the Mick Channon trained Tenby Two by a neck. Ran well but held in stronger races off his revised mark thereafter. No surface issues, but makes his first start since September.
Musselburgh is usually his favoured track, but he broke his AW duck when making all to repel Street Poet by ½L over C&D latest (Lukoutoldmakezebak third). Form-line appears solid with the fourth placed Framley Garth winning at Doncaster on Saturday.
In fine fettle at this track over the past six weeks recording back-to-back victories (6f and 7f). Beaten just over 3L (C&D) by Adventureman when seeking a hat-trick latest. Every possibility he'll go close once more over an arguably ideal trip.
Ex Sir Mark Prescott trained and went close on stable/handicap debut at Redcar in May 2017 (1m2f). Regressed badly since, but in his defence, he's been mucked about in terms of trip. Hard to build a case for at present.
Low grade handicapper who is now a 26-race maiden. Has run some reasonable 'ish' races at this track, but beaten out of sight by Adventureman on his return to action latest and has little chance tonight accordingly.

Forecasts
Adventureman (11/4), Lukoutoldmakezebak (4/1), Nature Boy (9/2), Dreamofdiscovery (5/1), Highwayman (7/1), Hitman (8/1), Gun Case (9/1), Cookie Ring (10/1), Lord Rob (28/1), Kilbaha Lady (33/1), Single Estate (40/1)
Plenty of Newcastle regulars in the line up. There shouldn't be all that much to split Highwayman and Cookie Ring judging by their C&D clash earlier in the month, but the assumption is that form will be upheld by the David Thompson trained five-year-old. That trainer saddles a trio of runners, with Lukoutoldmakezebak the pick. He was beaten, but not discredited when finishing third to ADVENTUREMAN over C&D latest; form well advertised with the fourth placed horse Framley Garth winning at Doncaster on Saturday. Therefore, the firm opinion is that the Ruth Carr trained Musselburgh regular can follow up from a 4lb higher mark and record a second straight AW success.
- Adventureman
- Lukoutoldmakezebak
