Age: 7|  Weight: 11-13| J: Mr Zac Baker(5)| T: Mrs L J Mongan| OR:  101
5/1
Has hit the frame in a few similar handicaps to this, and though this is a competitive enough affair it wouldn't be the biggest surprise to see her finish in the places.

Red Admirablep,t32
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-12| J: Kielan Woods| T: D Killahena & G McPherson| OR:  100| C| D
6/1
Not the most reliable character, but has won two of his last three starst, including over 2m4½f here last month off a mark of 95. Stays this far no concerns.
3
Horse silk
Herdswick Holloat1160
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-11| J: T E Whelan| T: N B King| OR:  99
14/1
Nine-race maiden, posted a decent effort at Fontwell (3m2f, good) in October but then failed to beat a rival home over this C&D 10 days later. Off since, may prefer a better surface.

His last win came at Ffos Las around more than a year ago when he took advantage of a tumbling mark (only handicap win) on heavy ground over 2m4f (last run for Rebecca Curtis). Poor since in both codes.
5

Minella Whisper46
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-8| J: Daniel Hiskett(5)| T: R T Phillips| OR:  96
7/2
Point-to-point winner last spring, pleasing 4L third of 10 over this C&D last time on handicap debut, may be capable of building on that showing now.
6
Horse silk
Indian Reelp,t29
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-8| J: Lily Pinchin| T: F O'Brien| OR:  96| BF
20/1
Broke his maiden when winning a claiming hurdle on heavy ground at Leicester in January, since well held in selling company at Southwell and this trip is an unknown factor.
7
Horse silk
Phare Islep,t32
Age: 13|  Weight: 11-2| J: Max Kendrick(5)| T: B I Case| OR:  90| C
11/1
Veteran is a regular here with a record one win and four places from 14 visits. Recent form requires improvement, though this longer trip does offer some hope.
8
Horse silk
Max Dynamoh31
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: M D Grant| T: A J Wilson| OR:  86
6/1
A maiden after 12 starts, could be capable of landing a low-grade handicap over this sort of trip from decreasing mark, but formbook suggests place money may be ceiling of ambitions.
9
Horse silk
Jonjoela125
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-6| J: Conor Ring(3)| T: Tracey Leeson| OR:  80
66/1
Took her six attempts to win a point-to-point and has not shown much in her three completed hurdles starts so far, may need further relief from the assessor.
10
Horse silk
Katara Bayt162
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-3| J: Alain Cawley| T: B Leavy| OR:  77
9/1
Tailed off on bumper debut for previous yard and unable to show any improved form in three maiden hurdle efforts before finding things tough from an opening mark of 80 in 3m heavy-ground Wetherby handicap in January.
11
Horse silk
Tommy The Rascalp36
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-0| J: James Davies| T: J Candlish| OR:  73| CD
8/1
Comes here off the back of falls at Market Rasen and Carlisle in chases, likely needs some confidence restored.
12
Horse silk
Midnight Owlet11
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-0| J: Charlie Hammond(7)| T: Miss C Dyson| OR:  69
66/1
Maiden after nine starts and well held in handicaps on her last four appearances. Probably best watched once more on these terms, despite this not being a strong contest

Forecasts

Minella Whisper (7/2), Miss Yeats (5/1), Max Dynamo (6/1), Red Admirable (6/1), Tommy The Rascal (8/1), Katara Bay (9/1), Phare Isle (11/1), Herdswick Holloa (14/1), Indian Reel (20/1), How About It (25/1), Midnight Owle (66/1), Jonjoela (66/1)

Verdict

Red Admirable isn't the most reliable but he has found his groove of late and should go well in pursuit of a third win in four starts. Max Dynamo and Miss Yeats could threaten the minor placings but MINELLA WHISPER is the one to side with. His handicap debut over C&D last month was an improved showing and, with a 2lb rise looking fair, he ought to have solid claims with further improvement deemed likely on just his fifth outing over timber.
  1. Minella Whisper
  2. Red Admirable
  3. Max Dynamo
