Fancied for novice/maiden contests at Ludlow and Doncaster either side of Christmas but well held and didn't always jump fluently. Bang in contention at Sandown last time when coming down at the last. Must jump better.
Smartly bred, sired by Breeders Cup turf winner Shirocco, showed some promise in Wetherby maiden hurdle in November 2016, hasn't been spotted since. Market check required.
Won an Irish point-to-point in April and bought for £130,000 at the sales not long after, definite promise in hurdles here and at Exeter either side of Christmas over this sort of trip. Entitled to be in the mix.
Easy winner of a point-to-point and plenty of classy winners in the family. Good run in Chepstow bumper in November and found only one too strong at Hereford on hurdles bow in January. Trip/ground fine, looks a leading player.
Not without ability at staying trips on the Flat but failed to complete in two hurdles starts so far (unseat/fall) and best watched at the moment until the jumping improves.
Forecasts
Sunset Showdown (7/4), Colonial Dreams (3/1), Storm Control (4/1), Voie Dans Voie (9/2), Indirocco (12/1), Mazalto (66/1), Over The Arch (150/1)
Colonial Dreams has been supported in his races but his jumping let him down latest at Sandown. He'll have wins in him, but that fall isn't heartening. Indirocco, a half-brother to Irving, has been absent a long while but any money in his favour would be noted today. Irish point-to-point winner SUNSET SHOWDOWN may be able to go a place better than his Hereford run in January in what isn't the strongest contest.
