Fairly well beaten in all five of his starts and it would be a surprise if he wasn't vulnerable to plenty more less exposed sorts here.

Intello colt, cost 140,000 gns as a yearling. Half brother to a Listed winner and dam a half-sister to two Group 1 winners. Yard's debutantes worthy of plenty of respect and likely to go well on debut.

High Chaparral colt, half-brother to a couple of useful middle distance types and dam was a winner over this trip. Yard have won this race in the past and interesting to see how he goes on debut.

Mawatheeq gelding. Related to a couple of dual-purpose winners out of a dam who was placed in bumpers. Well beaten on debut in October and likely to be up against it here.

Hat-trick gelding, cost $80,000 as a yearling but sold on for just 13,000 gns as a two-year-old. Yard do well at this meeting and he showed bits of promise on debut but this would appear to be a strong maiden.

Declaration Of War colt, cost 65,000 gns as a yearling. Brother to two Group 2 winners. Two smart efforts in a pair of races towards the end of last year and sets a solid standard. Leading player with improvement more than likely.

Forecasts

Proschema (11/8), Blazing Saddles (9/2), Voyager Blue (11/2), Argentello (6/1), Chiave Di Volta (13/2), In Demand (20/1), Magojiro (25/1), Kenny George (28/1), Dawn Commando (33/1), Ad Libitum (40/1), Princess Noora (66/1)

Verdict

PROSCHEMA is the one to beat here following some impressive performances towards the back end of last year. John Gosden's Argentello is given the utmost of respect given his record with debutantes while Voyager Blue may be able to put his experience to good use after some placed efforts on the all-weather. Chiave Di Volta is a fascinating newcomer and any market support should be noted.
