Excellent runner-up in last year's Cambridgeshire when drawn on the opposite side to the winner. Not won over a trip this short for some time and has a tough ask off a big weight in the type of form he's been in recently.
Returns from a significant absence here but produced a smart performance when just touched off on debut and followed up with two impressive wins. Entitled to need this run but could be anything and one to watch in the market for top connections.
Didn't stop improving throughout last season and ground no concern for him here. Every chance he's better than this mark and the form of his second at Haydock when last seen has been franked by the winner scoring again since. Leading claims.
Impressive winner of a Class 3 Handicap at York in July but didn't beat a rival home in two subsequent starts. Interesting to see how he fares on debut for new yard and has run well fresh before.
Loves a strong pace to run at and ought to get that here. Will have his choice of sides drawn in the middle and particularly effective the softer the ground gets. May have been over the top when last seen and interesting runner with each-way claims.
Just four career starts but confirmed the promise of his debut by landing a hat-trick, most recently in soft ground at Redcar. 8lb rise for that win possibly harsh but can't be ruled out with the promise of more to come.
Rattled off a hat-trick towards the end of the summer but handicapper has seemingly caught up with him and he probably wants better ground than what he will get here.
Quite possibly not the easiest to train but impressive when winning here over 7f in November and encouraging return at Newcastle last month. Lightly raced, every chance of more to come and eye-catching jockey booking for these connections.
He was an exciting prospcet as a juvenile, particularly when winning a Listed race at Ascot but struggled throughout last year and very little promise in his comeback run at Chelmsford. Gets first-time blinkers.
Impressive four-year-old career, winning five of his eight starts but returns from a significant absence here. Trainer has been in fine form in his debut season in NH sphere so market support worth noting. Wears a first-time hood.
Finally got down to a competitive handicap mark last summer and won back-to-back races as a result. Assessor had his say though and he was struggling off similar marks towards the back end of last season.
Has returned in fine form after a prolonged absence and produced a good second at Lingfield last time in his bid for a four-timer. Sole run with cut in the ground was disappointing and conditions the main question mark here.
Just got up for a deadheat at Thirsk when last seen but returns from a 6lb higher mark here and never won off a mark this high. Has needed his return run on last couple of seasons and opposable for this.
Winner at Leopardstown on debut but seemingly struggled on his three subsequent runs when trained by Dermot Weld. Market likely to be informative on his return to action but others have stronger claims.
Both wins have come on AW but ran well here last year over 7f when third of 20. Ought to strip fitter for his reappearance at Lingfield when disappointing eight of nine and not ruled out if first-time cheekpieces can eke out some improvement.
Seemingly at his best on testing ground and only nudged up 1lb for a good second at Windsor last time. Can't be ruled out with the possibility of more to come for a yard who do well at this meeting but no doubt he will need a career best.
Seen at his best off a strong pace and likely to get that here. While his last turf win did come on soft ground off this mark, he's probably a better horse on AW and this is clearly more competitive than many of his races.
Winner on debut over 6f but disappointing throughout most of last season and very few signs of encouragement on debut for this yard last week.
Not won since 2016 over 6f at Pontefract. Largely disappointing in that time and beaten convincingly enough on his return to action at Kempton to suggest he will struggle here.
Won five times in 2016 but very disappointing throughout most of last season. On a very workable mark if wind surgery in the interim has had the desired effect and soft ground no issue. Interesting contender.

ORIGINAL CHOICE is the tentative selection in a wide open race. Given that there's every chance he's still improving and the form of his last placed effort has been franked since, he may be able to get his head in front here. Sir Roderic is an interesting runner lurking on a dangerous mark and King's Pavilion is another runner who will be suited by the likely ground conditions here and can run well if he gets the pace to aim at.

- Sir Roderic
