Given a far more positive ride on his second start over fences and that appeared to suit him although he was a fortunate runner-up. May well be able to repeat those tactics here although the stable remains rather quiet; dropped 2lb from his last run.

Opened his chasing account on his third start over fences showing improvement on his first two starts (jumping still needed work). Nowhere near that form over the same distance 2m4f again at Wincanton last time; needs to bounce back over a new trip.

Stable are rather quiet at the moment and he comes here off the back of break having run a modest race over C&D last time. Yet to win in four chase starts he doesn't appear to be progressing although he is now off his lowest chase mark yet.

A useful sort over hurdles he's shaped well on both his starts over fences although his jumping does need some care and attention. Fell when clear second best last time out (held by winner) and appeals off this mark if he stays upright.

Won on his chasing debut in a race that looked modest at the time but has worked out well (Lingfield, 2m4f). Bounced back from a poor second run in first-time blinkers to beat two rivals last time but needs to find more off this mark up in trip.

Failed to fire (easy to back) when running in snatches on his chase debut before matching his hurdles form last time at Doncaster over 3m. He did beat a rather reluctant hero there though after going in snatches and will find this a tougher test.

Forecasts

Joe Farrell (3/1), Ice Cool Champs (4/1), Bobo Mac (4/1), Another Frontier (9/2), Somewhere To Be (11/2), Le Boizelo (6/1)

Verdict

All of these come into this with some sort of question mark against them and a chance is taken that BOBO MAC can maintain his balance this time around and put in a clear round having shown promise on both his chase starts; he did have Ice Cool Champs well beaten when coming down last time. Le Boizelo needs to bounce back from a poor run last time and it may be that Somewhere To Be can overcome another rise in the handicap to be the biggest danger. Another Frontier never looks an easy ride but he does keep grinding away and this test on a galloping course may suit him down to the ground.
  1. Bobo Mac
  2. Somewhere To Be
  3. Ice Cool Champs
