11/8
Has clearly had his issues having not yet been seen this season, but won a Punchestown Grade 1 when last seen and his form ties in with some very talented horses. This trainer could have him at his best and if so he'll be tough to beat.

Beaten 13L by Doctor Phoenix at Naas last time, and though he has won at Grade 3 level in the past he usually comes up short in these contests.

11/8
Grade 3 winner at Naas last time who swerved a couple of potential engagements at the Cheltenham Festival to come here. Much improved since joining this yard and should prove competitive at this level.

Behind a couple of these at Naas last time and hasn't been able to build on a Grade 3 win at Naas in November 2016 and looks up against it here.

Winner on debut over fences but hasn't really gone on from that effort and jumping can let him down somewhat. Opposable.

Age: 11|  Weight: 11-5| J: Danny Mullins| T: J P Ryan| OR:  136| D
40/1
Useful chaser who usually does the front-running in his races. Rare fall last time and tends to jump well enough but likely to struggle on these terms.

Forecasts

Great Field (11/8), Doctor Phoenix (11/8), American Tom (6/1), Alisier D'irlande (9/1), Tell Us More (33/1), Kilcarry Bridge (40/1)

Verdict

This is between Doctor Phoenix and GREAT FIELD. The former was certainly impressive in running away with a Grade 3 at Naas last month and is respected, but it may be worth chancing that the Willie Mullins' trained contender has been put spot on for this by his master trainer. It could pay to remember that he won a Grade 1 when last seen at the end of last season. The rest are a long way off and Allsier D'Irlande could be a distant second to the first-named runner once again.
  1. Great Field
  2. Doctor Phoenix
  3. Alisier D'Irlande
