Scored on her hurdles debut at Ffos Las (2m, good) in June and has improved on that in defeats since. Has looked vulnerable in handicaps at up to 2m7f of late, so drops back into this company. No easy task here under her penalty.
Has shown improved form in a couple of bumpers on Tapeta of late, though still has some way to go. Makes her hurdles debut this afternoon and pedigree suggests that this discipline/trip may be more here forte. Not ruled out if she can improve again.
Improved for her Newcastle debut when runner-up at Carlisle (2m3½f, heavy) earlier in the month. Should be capable of better again this time. Trainer does well in this sphere/at this track and no surprise to see her go well.
Half-sister to 2m chase winner On The Case; dam 7f-1m5f Flat and fairly useful 2m-2m1f hurdle winner. Trainer has been in reasonably good form of late and she merits a market check ahead of this debut.
Making steady improvements, with her best effort being last time in a Huntingdon maiden hurdle (2m4½f, soft) last month. No reason why she can't build on that over this longer trip, though could make more appeal when handicapping.
Forecasts
Skewiff (6/4), Drill Baby Drill (3/1), Chicago Lady (3/1), Touch Of Velvett (9/2), Bitumen Belle (33/1)
CHICAGO LADY represents a trainer that has always done well with mares and has a good record at this venue and this could be a good opportunity for her to break her duck. Skewiff is looking exposed and vulnerable again under her penalty, though Bitumen Belle is interesting now upped to this trip over hurdles and Drill Baby Drill could make a nice debut.
