Has put in a couple of decent efforts in defeat in handicaps this season, though is without a win since doing so here almost a year ago (C&D, good to soft). Drops into this grade for first time with headgear on and handles cut in the ground. Claims.
Completed a hat-trick in class 5 handicaps at around 3m on good to soft/soft in the autumn. Unable to cope with step up in grade, but did better when dropped into a seller (2m, soft) at Fakenham last time and looks the one to beat over this trip.
Has shown little in bumpers, novices' hurdles or handicaps. Appears to handle the forecast conditions well enough, but looks to have plenty on his plate on thie first try in a seller.
Won a seller (2m7f, good) for Nigel Twiston-Davies in 2016 and followed up in a chase on first start for Nigel Hawke. Not won since, but went well in this grade at Sedgefield (2m4f, soft) in January and in a handicap there last time. Not ruled out.
Couldn't win from seven attempts in point-to-points and no surprise to see her go off at 50-1 on rules debut, when 49L fourth of six at Market Rasen (2m4½f, soft) last week. Looks up against it on that evidence.
Put in a career-best here over 2m in a maiden hurdle last year, but that was nothing to get too excited about. Also made the frame over 2m3½f (heavy) back here last time when 100-1 in a handicap. Headgear retained but still has a lot to do.
Forecasts
Little Bruce (5/4), Saucysioux (11/8), Rock Of Leon (6/1), Beau Sancy (33/1), Lady Of The Rea (50/1), My Brown Eyed Girl (66/1)
SAUCYSIOUX looks capable of getting her nose in front again with the weights here in her favour, as well as the return to this longer trip after a decent effort over what looked a bit short last time. Phil Kirby saddles two here and neither is ruled out. Little Bruce appears to have lost his way, but would have claims at his best and he goes well at the track, while Rock Of Leon comes into this in reasonable nick and should be competitive with 5lb claimed.
- Saucysioux
- Rock Of Leon
