Has remained in reasonable form since winning a Cork handicap chase just over a year ago despite a big hike in the weights. Out of his depth last time and this looks a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.
Lost his way for Nicky Henderson and no signs the change of scenery had helped when last seen in September. Goes well fresh and dangerously well-handicapped if the market signals are positive.
Better class than many of these at his peak, but well below those levels when last seen and has a two year absence to overcome.
Came from an unpromising position to score at Limerick over Christmas, but he may have been fortunate that day and he has been found out in both stars since.
His last two victories came over fences at this specialist trip. Appeared to be coming to hand last time and not without a chance in this company.
Has performed with credit against the likes of Tombstone and Close Shave this term. Form has an in and out look about it these days, but this trip is more suitable than last time.
3-39 over fences and almost three years since his last success. Should improve for his latest run and an opportunity to compete with other veterans.
Produced two good runs in January before biting off more than he could chew in a valuable race last time. Three years have elapsed since his sole win, but he ought to make the frame in this company.
Front-runner who finds little when headed. Has failed to complete the course on his last three starts over fences and he is 7lb wrong in the weights here.
Forecasts
Sumos Novios (3/1), Toubaloo (3/1), Toushan (9/2), Undressed (7/1), Cocktails At Dawn (8/1), Inis Meain (9/1), Lisclogher Lad (20/1), Letter Of Credit (20/1), Los Amigos (33/1)
Toubaloo is back at the right level having been outclassed last time. Nevertheless his career record suggests he is one for place backers rather than those looking for a winner and the vote is given to the topweight SUMOS NOVIOS. He was 21L ahead of the useful Close Shave on his first start of the season and that form gives him a lot in hand of Inis Meain. Letter Of Credit will find this easier than recent assignments, whilst Cocktails At Dawn would make short work of these if his master trainer can get him back to a few pounds short of his best.
- Sumos Novios
- Toubaloo
- Letter Of Credit
