Well behind two of Willie Mullins' top juveniles this season and possible he is about to cross swords with another in this.
Developed into a useful middle-distance handicapper for Andrew Balding and showed he handles soft ground. Top rider booked for his hurdling debut and definitely one to consider.
Well-bred Galileo gelding who failed to make the track for Balydoyle. This looks better than an average Wexford maiden hurdle and the market should be informative.
Moderate Flat maiden makes his hurdling debut for a good yard. Hard to make a case for on ground that looks softer than ideal.
Demoted when first past the post on his hurdling debut. Has been let down by his jumping on both starts since, but a clear danger in this grade if a month's schooling has helped.
Finished behind a couple of horses who went on to land top-class French races on his debut a year ago. Acquired by top trainer and looks a mouth watering prospect in a race as uncompetitive as this.
Came up against Triumph Hurdle third Sayo on his hurdling debut and a blunder two out cost him dear next time. Poor effort last time and he will come into his own on better ground.
Fell on sole point-to-point outing and soundly beaten on rules debut. Looks out of his depth in this company.
Well-beaten on both starts and finds herself in an even better race here. Looks easy to oppose after an 18 month break.
Forecasts
Msassa (1/4), Park Paddocks (13/2), Torcello (7/1), Galtymore (10/1), Achiever (12/1), Ontheiflist (20/1), Freedom Chimes (33/1), Young Dev (66/1), Canford Lady (100/1)
Torcello and Achiever are two interesting recruits with the former having developed into a smart handicapper on the Flat. Galtymore has the ability to win an average Wexford maiden, but it may take something special to beat the Mullins' newcomer MSASSA. The French import ran in what turned out to be a very hot race on his debut with two Grade 3 winners finishing just ahead of him, including one who was narrowly beaten in the equivalent of the Triumph Hurdle.
- Msassa
- Torcello
- Achiever
