Starts out for a new yard here after a below par run at Cheltenham last time out. He's better than that performance and subsequent wind operation may have worked the oracle. Hard to beat.
C&D winner here in December but disappointing effort when pulled up last time. Down in class here but only in name and this no easier than his most recent assignment. Place chance at best.
Disqualified after losing a match race here over C&D (rider weighed in light) but was an impressive winner here in January over 2m and dangerous if he gets loose on the front end but others have stronger claims.
Dam won 2m hurdle and is half-sister to a 2m4f hurdle winner. Missed intended debut at Newcastle in January 2015 when with Keith Dalgleish (withdrawn after being unruly at the start). Pulled up early on hurdles debut last time and hard to fancy.
Useful on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott and while things didn't work out for him at Dermot Weld's yard, he made a promising hurdles start at Catterick last time. Main danger to the top-weight.
Forecasts
Bedrock (5/4), The Steward (7/4), The Road Home (6/1), Ballycrystal Court (13/2), J And M Greengairs (33/1), Jesse Jude (50/1)
BEDROCK sets the standard on form here and a recent wind operation may be the answer to why he's disappointed on his last two starts. The Steward is the main danger having made a promising start to life over hurdles last time and he gets a stone in weight from the selection. The Road Home is useful when he gets his own way in front and is likely to prove best of the rest.
