Started life in bumpers (showed little) and switched to his current yard for his first Flat start his effort was disappointing over 6f. Now stepped up to 7f but makes little appeal.

Half-brother to a useful winner up to 7f in Rimth and Pipe Bomb who won at up to 1m1f. Tongue-tie on for his debut and should act on Fibresand given his pedigree.

Well held on her only run so far at Yarmouth last May (started slowly) and looked one for the longer term. Makes little appeal here.

Trainer has done well on the AW this winter and this Footstepsinthesand gelding is an interesting newcomer for the yard. Price rose significantly from yearling to two-year-old and worth watching in the market.

Made his debut here last November running very green and only getting the hang of proceedings late on. Not progressed in two runs so far but may do better returned to this surface and hard to ignore.

Returns from running in Meydan on the dirt in better races than this and although she was unsuccessful there she will appreciate this easier grade. Has already proved herself on this surface and has a leading chance.

Makes her Fibresand debut having shown ability amongst some inexperience on her debut over 6f. Will be suited by this 7f and an emphasis on stamina; should handle the surface and go well.

Forecasts

Line House (9/4), The Jungle Vip (5/2), Dutch Monarch (7/2), Dubstep (4/1), Penistone (10/1), Dutch Coed (33/1), Shanakill Star (50/1)

Verdict

Quite an interesting heat and Line House must be of interest even though she failed to fire in Dubai at a higher level and she has already proved herself on the Fibresand. Newcomer Dubstep will be worth watching in the market especially as his trainer Archie Watson has had such a good AW season. The Jungle Vip is another who will appreciate a return to this surface having run well on his debut here but DUTCH MONARCH gets weight from the whole field here having shown ability on her debut and shaped as though a test such as this would suit her ideally.
  1. Dutch Monarch
  2. Line House
  3. The Jungle Vip
