Promising debut over 7f here in January from the Canford Cliffs filly and duly off the mark in ready fashion next time upped to the mile. Has the scope to add to tally.

Nursery winner here in September over 7f for Mark Johnson, poor next time at Lingfield and has joined new trainer ahead of return to action. Market check suggested.

€175,000 breeze-up buy who has been second all three starts so far, showing plenty promise in doing so. Yard a bit quiet (3-38) but entitled to be going close again.

Filly has been well held here (6f) and at Southwell (7f) in her two outings, needs to improve significantly for this mile trip to be a player.

First foal, and whilst breeding suggests this trip will be fine, it will be a surprise if she's good enough to beat some from powerful yards on her debut.

Verdict

There was plenty to enthuse about after watching LUMI come clear to win over C&D on her second start recently and the daughter of Canford Cliffs should be up to her task of following up this evening. The main danger should come from Big Kitten, who has also shown good form in finishing second three times in as many starts. There's nothing to suggest she's ungenuine, she just keeps finding one better and may do so again now. Ex-Mark Johnston nursery winner Sulafaa may be next best on debut for new connections off a break.
