Has now slipped back below his last winning mark but his form looks to be going backwards for this yard and he's now tried in cheekpieces for the first time. Eased slightly in grade here but his last two runs have failed to inspire.
Comes here on a four-timer but does have to cope with a 9lb higher mark than his last victory dropping back in trip. Should be able to cope with the rise in the weights although the form of the yard is a worry.
Looked to run a career best last time out when very free at Doncaster but still managing to finish a 1L second to one more conservatively ridden. Given a 6lb rise for that win which looks a little harsh and leaves him 11lb above his last winning mark
Had looked as though she was struggling for form prior to bouncing back to form last time at Chepstow over slightly shorter. Did look quite a hard ride there (suited by the way the race was run) and needs a real test of stamina to follow up.
Returns to hurdles after disappointing over fences of late (beaten favourite last time) and remains a maiden over the smaller obstacles (makes his debut for this yard). This is his first try in handicaps over hurdles; may need dropping a few pounds.
Not for the first time he flattered only to deceive last time out with his finish being once again disappointing. His career has yet to really get going and he's been beaten off marks like this before.
Showed his best form for this yard on his first two starts for them in novice company but his three efforts in handicaps have been poor. Ran well below form last time and it may take more than a 4lb fall in the weights to help him.
An unreliable sort he came back to life last time out off a feasible mark looking suited by the way the race was run. Never been one to totally rely on though and isn't sure to be in the same mood here off a 7lb higher mark.
Interesting contender and although he was still rough around the edges he managed to win on his handicap debut overcoming a stiff opening mark. Looked suited by the test of stamina at Ffos Las and may well be able to progress again.
Has twice travelled very strongly when winning handicaps for his former yard and now makes his debut for a new yard with further progress likely. Has to cope with a 9lb higher mark here but given his decent Flat form still looks on a handy perch.

A tough contest to unravel with a few in this that could prove to be ahead of their marks. Two at the foot of the handicap are particularly interesting with Hillary View sure to come on for the experience last time with further progress to come. OSKAR DENARIUS has made a notable stable switch though and despite the rise in the weights he should be able to cope with this mark and complete the hat-trick. Virginia Chick bids for a four-timer but the form of the yard is a slight worry while Master Vintage will do well to overcome his rise in the weights. Subcontinent looks to need some better ground while Western Wave needs to finish off his races with more conviction.
- Oskar Denarius
- Hillary View
- Master Vintage
