Prominent racer who arrives in rude health and is seeking a four timer after 7f victories at Salisbury, Lingfield and Kempton. Just 1lb higher than when beating Motown Mick by a head latest.
Made the right type of headlines when scoring at Carlisle in August (6f good to soft), and far from disgraced in a valuable sales race at Newmarket thereafter. One to consider on three-year-old debut upped in trip (by Paco Boy).
A winner over 6f at Newcastle in September (made all), but hasn't really kicked on since and was beaten just over 2L by the blooming Rock On Baileys at Chelmsford last Saturday. First start beyond 6f.
Son of New Approach, and related to numerous winners. Off the mark himself when scoring by ½L at Kempton last month, and far from harshly treated with just a 2lb rise.
Posted a career best effort when beaten a neck by Marshal Dan at Lingfield last month (7f), so has to be considered on his sixth career start from just a 2lb higher mark.
Beaten 3¾L by Breaking Records in a C&D maiden last month, and whilst his attitude was questionable that was his best effort for this trainer since being bought for 27,000 gns from Charlie Fellowes in July 2017.
Cheaply bought gelding (2,500 gns foal) who dips his toe into handicap company for the first time on the back of three relatively modest efforts in AW novice events.
Forecasts
Ojala (9/4), Golden Footsteps (7/2), Fake News (5/1), Rastacap (6/1), Tribal Warrior (7/1), Mearing (8/1), Duba Plains (14/1)
A fairly open looking contest despite the fact that Ojala seeks a four-timer. He has Ryan Moore in the saddle, on what could prove to be a stellar day for that rider, and remains on a winnable mark. However, that claim is also true about the intriguing looking handicap/three-year-old debutante Fake News. He made the headlines when scoring at Carlisle in August, and ran well in a valuable Newmarket sales race thereafter, but with fitness assured coupled with the fact that he's improving with each and every racecourse appearance, and a 2lb rise for his snug Kempton victory last month far from punishing, TRIBAL WARRIOR gets the vote.
