Yeats gelding who cost £35,000 as a three-year-old and whose dam won a bumper. Made all when winning comfortably over C&D on debut in January and will be hard to beat if in the same mood, despite his penalty.
Has shown a reasonable amount of promise on both starts at Punchestown and Perth, but is returning from quite a lengthy lay-off. Needs to have improved for his break.
Son of Jeremy who cost €17,000 as a three-year-old and is out of a winning hurdler/chaser. Stable also runs Gleno so the market may be the best guide to their respective chances. Positive jockey booking.
Definite signs of ability on both starts, but was keen last time and it is no surprise to see connections reach for a hood. Not without hope if the headgear enables him to settle better.
Forecasts
Precious Cargo (1/2), Dr Sanderson (7/2), Gleno (8/1), Elvis Mail (10/1)
The betting market will be the best guide to the respective merits of Gleno and Dr Sanderson, but the jockey booking for the latter catches the eye. Both will have to be on their mettle to beat PRECIOUS CARGO, however. The selection won well on debut over C&D and, with improvement likely, should be able to defy a penalty even though that is never easy in bumpers. Elvis Mail is interesting in a first-time hood and cannot be ruled out.
- Precious Cargo
- Elvis Mail
- Dr Sanderson
