Hasn't won since April 2015 in a Class 3 Cheltenham handicap hurdle, but showed that he retains that ability when runner-up at Wincanton last month (2m4f, heavy). Has to concede plenty of weight, but doesn't face many serious opponents.
Has raced exclusively here over hurdles in three runs so far, his best effort being in a C&D maiden in December. Weakened out of it over further last time and initial mark does not look a giveaway on what he has shown.
Sedgefield specialist, although he has also won twice here over fences. Not as good in this discipline and beaten 17½L at Sedgefield last time, so despite his trainer's decent record in such contests, from 5lb 'wrong' he does look up against it.
Well beaten in all starts except on his bumper debut in 2016. Was 44L adrift of the winner again last time at Southwell in a similar race to this and from 24lb out of the handicap, the first-time visor will need to do something special.
0-14 over hurdles, to which he has returned this year after a four-year absence. The time away does not appear to have worked any miracles, however, and with a long handicap weight of 6st 12lbs he is impossible to take seriously.
Forecasts
Hurricane Hollow (1/1), Young Tom (7/4), Discoverie (9/2), Jacarno (25/1), Atlas Peak (50/1)
Very moderate fare to open up with and despite having to concede lumps of weight away, this looks a good opportunity for HURRICANE HOLLOW to end a drought of almost three years without a win. Young Tom and Discoverie look very much to be the pair who will be fighting out the minors.
