Well beaten on sole bumper start at Newbury in March 2013. Came good over fences at Southwell last March but form since then hasn't been much to write home about since.
Ran well enough of a break at Bangor in October but has failed to finish in three subsequent starts. Tough assignment here returning following a wind-op.
Well beaten in three bumpers earlier in his career and has appeared to struggle with a revised handicap mark the last three starts. Looks up against it here.
Has finished last two races behind progressive types Testify and Cyrname. Bold show likely before going on to the festival where he holds entries in three races.
Nothing of any note since winning a Worcester handicap hurdle in June over 2m7f. Well beaten in two previous bumpers earlier in career.
Forecasts
Tommy Silver (2/9), Sir Ivan (7/2), Its A Sting (25/1), Vendredi Trois (33/1), Agincourt Reef (66/1)
The Paul Nicholls-trained TOMMY SILVER has entries in the Close Brothers, the Festival Plate and Grand Annual handicaps at the festival so is sure not to be pushed all the way here if getting in to a battle at the business end of the race but should have the ability to take care of the opposition here. Sir Ivan and the wind-operated It's A Sting can fight for the runner-up spot.
