Not seen for quite some while and has twice been pulled-up on the Flat. The only time he wasn't came here over 6f but even in that run he showed little and others are much preferred now; has had some wind surgery since last seen.

Started his life in bumpers (showed little in that sphere) and his two Flat runs so far have displayed little finishing well held both times over longer trips. Stated at 100/1 last time out in a 1m4f maiden here and offered little to build on.
Went with little promise on her debut at Chelmsford over 1m5f leading for some of the way but fading quickly. Now markedly back in trip making her Fibresand debut with her sire having a very modest record on the surface.

Two runs here (split by a break of 70 days) the last over C&D have seen him take the runner-up slot on both occasions. He split a couple next-time-out winners on the first occasion and ran into a useful sort the next time and a reproduction of either of those runs gives him a major chance here.

Promising sort who caught the eye on his first two runs with the second of those coming here over 7f when starting favourite (met an above-average newcomer) and finishing second. Didn't quite live up to that run last time (Tapeta debut) but has to be of interest here.

Looked to need the race on his debut (started 100/1) at Lingfield on the AW over a mile. Yet to run on this surface (sire 0/10 here) and looks to need time.

Very much needed the experience on his debut and looked the sort that will need more time. This will be his first experience of the Fibresand as he steps up to a mile and others make more appeal.

Makes her racecourse debut and is a half-sister to several winners including the useful 1m2f winner Niblawi. Hard to think that she will be able to take a hand here on her first outing especially on this unique surface.

Stay In The Light12
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-5| J: Joey Haynes| T: K R Burke| BF
12/1
Was well supported on her debut at Wolverhampton (started joint-favourite) but made an unpromising start to her career by finishing last. Now makes given a try on the Fibresand for her second start and may improve being by a sire who has a 16% strike-rate here.

Forecasts

Dawn Dancer (10/11), Kripke (15/8), Princess Noora (17/2), Poetic Affair (9/1), Stay In The Light (12/1), Noble Gesture (50/1), Avago Josh (66/1), Miss Tenacity (66/1), Whitmel (80/1)

Verdict

Not too much strength in depth here and it looks to boil down to a match between DAWN DANCER and Kripke both of whom have run well on this surface before when taking runner-up slots. The edge just goes to the former on form so far although it’s expected to be a close battle between the two. Stay In The Light was well supported on her debut run and better can be expected if she takes to this surface while Princess Noora and Poetic Affair are two others that may play a minor part.
  1. Dawn Dancer
  2. Kripke
  3. Stay In The Light
