Point-to-point winner last October and has already shown a decent level of ability in two starts at Ludlow. Different surface to contend with but looks one of the main players today.

Not totally disgraced on his second start at Haydock, weakening out of it late, but the big plus point is the sire produces winners on the surface (11% last five years). May well improve for the switch of surface and not ruled out.
First bumper runner for the yard and might find this trip stretching her stamina a bit, but sire has a good strike rate on the surface (14% last five years) and on that, is at least worth a look in the market.

Second runner from the Furtado yard here, gelded for debut today and although there's some encouragement to be taken that he'll act on the surface from his pedigree, is best watched.

Forecasts

Flash The Steel (1/2), Born In Thorne (5/2), Cuddles Mcgraw (4/1), Involve (6/1), Multitalented (7/1), Grey Charlie (25/1), Lammturner (25/1), Berry Poppins (25/1)

Verdict

It would be no surprise to see Cuddles McGraw leave his debut effort at Newbury behind and the market will be a good guide as to his chance. Flash The Steel will be the one to beat if taking to the surface but the suggestion is a small each-way bet on MULTITALENTED, who has already shown some ability and may well do even better switched to Fibresand.
  1. Multitalented
  2. Flash The Steel
  3. Cuddles Mcgraw
