Geordieland half-sister to three bumper/hurdles winners. Didn't show a huge amount when seventh of 8 at Sedgefield in October on debut and may need more time.
Connections forked out £30,000 after she won a point-to-point ats November and a good start was made at Huntingdon when an always prominent third on rules debut in bumper 18 days ago. Shouldn't be far away once again.
Sagamix mare ran well enough on debut when 66/1 fourth at Hereford, keeping on steadily final half mile. Stable having a quiet time but a good display not ruled out.
Flemensfirsth mare cost £17,000 at May Sales last year. Dam dual bumper winner. Stable had few runners and without a win for five months. May be better for this debut experience unless market tells otherwise.
Scorpion half-sister to three jumps winners. Made a fair start when two-and-a-half-length fourth in Lingfield A/W bumper last month, running green but by no means disgraced. One for the short list in this company.
Sold cheaply (£4000) after showing promise in two starts last season for Don Cantillon, finishing fourth at Wetherby and not beaten far when sixth at Lingfield. First start for new connections for this daughter of St Leger winner Milan.
King's Theatre mare from a fair jumping family makes her racecourse bow here. Yard going through a good spell and wouldn't have to be a world beater to figure. Any market support would be a confidence booster.
Third once and fell once in two Irish point-points for Margaret Mullins. Debut here for new yard and under rules for this half-sister to the useful chaser Bold Sir Brian. Fair display not ruled out.
Looked backward on debut in heavy ground at Ffos Las in November but much better in similar conditions at Uttoxeter following month when runner-up to odds-on favourite. Good chance if handling less testing conditions here.
Mastercraftsman filly representing leading trainer at this track. Shaped with promise when fifth and not knocked about on debut in better race at Ascot nine days ago. Big chance if recovered from those exertions.
Forecasts
Hawthorn Cottage (7/2), No No Juliet (4/1), Port Royale (5/1), Shapiro (11/2), Perfect Moment (7/1), Last Watch (8/1), Queen's Magic (10/1), Dancecraft (12/1), Mrs Hyde (33/1), Bit Of A Geordie (33/1)
This looks a fair bumper for the track and narrow preference is for DANCECRAFT who showed ability when making a fair debut last week at Ascot. She should know plenty more about now. Shapiro is a danger having improved when runner-up last time at Uttoxeter, and a good show is also expected from No No Juliet, who made a satisfactory debut at Lingfield. Hawthorn Cottage is another who can win a race or two and ran nicely at Huntingdon, while any move for Last Watch, Port Royale or Queen's Magic would be worthy of note.
- Dancecraft
- Shapiro
- No No Juliet
