Raised 4lbs for finishing second of 13 beaten ½L behind Mick The Boyo over C&D last month. Another bold show looks likely.
Has produced a number of laboured runs recently including a 47L defeat last time out in a Punchestown handicap hurdle. Looks opposable.
Course winner that has won over this trip but has been badly out of form recently and hard to construct much of a case for him here.
Landed a well deserved first win in 15 starts when taking a Tramore maiden hurdle last month on heavy ground over 2m. Capable of going well again off a 2lb higher mark.
Dual winner over hurdles but well held on the last three occasions and appears to be in need of some relief from the handicapper.
Game 132-rated hurdler two years ago for David Dennis winning two of his seven hurdle starts for the yard. Little of any note since for new yard.
Has come in to some fine form coming here on a hat-trick following wins over C&D last month. 12lb higher than first of those wins but capable in current form.
Got off the mark in handicap hurdles at the fourth time of asking when winning at Leopardstown on St Stephens day beating 25 rivals over 2m2f. Up 7lb for that effort but capable of plenty of improvement.
Has finished fourth on his last two starts but was well behind the winner on both occasions. Capable of improvement in first-time cheekpieces.
Beaten over 20L in both of his three hurdles more recently at Limerick over Christmas when tailed off in a 2m contest. Others preferred.
Well beaten in seventh when falling two out in a Tramore maiden hurdle in December following a couple of desperate efforts earlier. Hard to see her making any significant impact.
Won over this trip in December before finding a mix of 9lb higher mark and step up in trip too much in an 11L defeat at Leopardstown on St Stephens day. Worth a market check back at 2m.
Has been regressing with each of his two maiden hurdle starts since a 13L defeat at Killarney in May. Will possibly need the run following break.
Has not taken too hurdling too well producing a bunch of inadequate runs for connections. Looks up against it here.
Well beaten and no impression in three maiden hurdle starts and a poor 11th of 13 beaten 37L on handicap debut leaves little hope here.
Forecasts
Chateauneuf Du Pap (9/2), Stowaway Forever (5/1), Mick The Boyo (6/1), Sparky Stowaway (7/1), Back Bar (8/1), Share The Honour (10/1), Golden Jewel (12/1), Wade Harper (14/1), Noble Intention (14/1), Clementina (14/1), Westerners Son (14/1), Ben Brody (16/1), Jefferson Davis (25/1), No Secrets Here (25/1), Ballinabearna (25/1)
Not a lot of pace in the race which could be left to Ben Brody and last time out winner Chateauneuf Du Pap to make the running in the early stages. MICK THE BOYO comes here on a hat-trick of victory's here and can continue his good form off a 7lb higher mark. The Davy Russell-ridden Back Bar in first-time cheekpieces and Sparky Stowaway can hit the frame.
- Mick The Boyo
- Back Bar
- Sparky Stowaway
