Raced only at this distance and won twice last year in nurseries on the AW. Looked as though he needed the run on his return to action last time out in a small field handicap over C&D off this mark and should go well again.

Successful on the AW in nurseries last year winning over C&D and had a stiff task last time out when beaten by a smart AW performer over 6f. Effective over 6f but looks happier over this trip but could be vulnerable off this mark.

Makes his handicap debut here having had nine runs so far and ran with credit last time out wearing a tongue strap for the first time over C&D. Did carry his head a little awkwardly there but is a consistent sort who should be in the mix; has had wind surgery since last seen.

Took a while to get off the mark but probably turned her best performance in last time when forcing the pace to win over 5f at Chelmsford. Most of her rivals failed to live up to expectations and she has work to do here off a mark she's been beaten off before.

Usually likes to go from the front but not seen for quite some while and was well beaten on testing ground when last seen in July. Has run well over C&D and his only run came over this 5f. Now returns from a break off a career low mark but may find competition for the lead.

Forecasts

Big Time Maybe (9/4), Angel of The South (5/2), Midsummer Knight (11/4), Joegogo (6/1), Branscombe (12/1)

Verdict

This should be run at a good pace despite the small field with both Angel Of The South and Branscombe expected to go forward and that may compromise the chance of that pair and set the race up for a closer. BIG TIME MAYBE fits that bill and he can build on his run here last time out that was probably needed. Joegogo is a consistent sort although this mark looks a tough one and that may seen him competing for the places rather than the win.
