Winner of a couple of novice hurdles in the autumn, but has been beaten a long way in much stronger company, latterly in a handicap, on last two starts. Return to better ground may help, but faces a stiff task conceding so much weight all round.
Nicely bred, but has not shown much in two bumpers and a novice hurdle. Looks a long-term prospect and probably won't be seen to best effect until going over fences.
Fair level of form on first two starts for current trainer, but was well held in better company at Taunton last time. Back in contention at this level.
Beaten a long way on all three outings, the last two over hurdles. Clearly a lesser light in his powerful stable which seems to have a stronger contender in French Crusader.
Bumper winner on debut, but was slightly disappointing on his hurdling bow at this track. Steps up in trip on better ground so improvement is on the cards.
Definite signs of ability in a couple of bumpers at Worcester and Lingfield. Worth a market check on hurdling debut, but Canelo looks a stronger challenger for his top stable.
Placed in a point-to-point and has shaped with promise in two bumpers at Bangor. Good stable will have prepared him well for this hurdling bow so a look at the betting is advised.
Getaway gelding who was bought for €45,000 at the sales in June, 2016, and is half-brother to three-time winner Monbeg Worldwide. Had a quiet run in a bumper on debut at Huntingdon and should do better now hurdling.
Irish point-to-point winner who was a distant second of three finishers on his first start over timber at Chepstow. Drops in trip on better ground, but needs to take a step forward for respected connections.
Only limited promise in four bumpers and one race over hurdles. Likely to find several of these too strong.
Won a bumper at Plumpton last March and probably needed her first run over hurdles at Fontwell in October. Clearly needs to do better, but should do so in time.
Placed in a point-to-point and bumper and may have found the ground too testing when finishing in mid-division on her hurdling bow at Warwick. Should do better on this sounder surface.
Forecasts
Canelo (13/8), French Crusader (11/4), Dynamite Dollars (7/2), Neachells Bridge (14/1), Oscar World (16/1), Rocco (20/1), Mystical Clouds (25/1), Rebel Royal (40/1), Ballasalla (50/1), Du Destin (50/1), Huntress (80/1), Doctor Thea (150/1)
With Dynamite Dollars vulnerable under his double penalty, this could rest between Canelo, who looks the best of his stable's two representatives, and FRENCH CRUSADER. The selection created a good impression when winning a bumper and was slightly disappointing on his hurdling debut, but this longer trip and better ground may see him in a better light. Neachells Bridge and Rebel Royal are worth keeping an eye on in the betting, while Oscar World looks the best of the three mares and should improve for this sounder surface.
- French Crusader
- Canelo
- Dynamite Dollars
