Won on debut at Worcester before running respectably in a Listed contest at Cheltenham. Less to do in this weaker contest, but his penalty makes life tough.

Well backed when winning on debut at Taunton. There should be more to come, but he, too, has a penalty to defy which is never easy in these contests.

Recharge gelding who cost €6,000 as a foal and is a half-brother to the useful Grandads Horse. Will probably need this debut run, but market support could be significant.
Fourth behind Skidoosh on debut at Worcester, but stepped up on that when second at Uttoxeter. Enters calculation in receipt of weight from two of his main rivals.
Son of Presenting who was bought for €19,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to winners over jumps and in a bumper. Stable respected in this sphere and any market support should be noted.
Not devoid of promise in bumpers at Kempton and Newton Abbot and hails from a stable in decent form. Needs to improve, though, and may do better when hurdling.

Son of Getaway who was quite an expensive buy at €60,000 as a foal. From the family of the high-class Cooldine and is one to keep an eye on as he make his racecourse bow.
Did not go off unbacked when winning on debut at Newcastle, but could finish only third of eight at Musselburgh in his bid to follow up. Has ability, but one or two of his rivals may be superior.
By Ask out of a Saddlers' Hall mare, he cost €37,000 as a three-year-old and is from the family of high-class chaser Trabolgan. Receives plenty of weight and should be monitored in the betting.

Forecasts

Skidoosh (2/1), Smith's Bay (10/3), Rooster Cogburn (7/1), Daydream Aulmes (8/1), Ask Paddington (9/1), Larch Hill (10/1), Star Of Lanka (14/1), Braddan Head (16/1), Sharp Getaway (25/1)

Verdict

Ask Paddington, Sharp Getaway, Braddan Head and Larch Hill are all of interest on their debuts and are worth looking at in the betting, but the ones with proven form are Skidoosh, Smith's Bay and DAYDREAM AULMES. The latter, who is progressing well, gets a valuable 7lb from the top two and that may just tip the scales in his favour. Star Of Lanka has place claims.
  1. Daydream Aulmes
  2. Smith's Bay
  3. Ask Paddington
