Won C&D maiden hurdle in March last year but has struggled since and dropped a total of 14lb. No joy over further so drops back in trip but current form is a concern.
Won 2m handicap hurdle on this card last year but no joy since. Likes to front run and should bowl along but may struggle to see it out on recent evidence.
Three runs so far, all in heavy ground 2m maiden hurdles. Handicap debut today but hasn't shown very much, apart from a glimmer on second start.
1-23 tells its own story and this veteran appears to be lacking a finishing kick these days judged on his runs this season. Dropping down the weights but not easy to recommend.
Still a maiden and best efforts have all come on a sound surface. Ran badly in two starts on heavy ground early in her career so it would be a surprise if she handles conditions.
Landed a 2m Thurles handicap hurdle last March off 9lb lower mark. Run well in defeat on last three starts, handles ground, and looks set to be thereabouts once again.
Showed bits and pieces of form for Tony Martin without winning. Ran fair races for Matthew Smith last summer but not seen since June and makes debut for new yard. Has claims if fit and market may well prove a good guide.
Lightly raced since Cork heavy ground success last March. Just 3lb higher now but has run badly last two starts, pulling up on most recent run.
8-race maiden but two best efforts (including last time) have come on heavy ground. Extra 2f now and may be passing horses in final straight without troubling the principals.
In fair form since the start of this year, winning at 21st attempt here in January before unseating when every chance at Navan following start. Left third at Punchestown latest and shouldn't be too far away once again.
Didn't show much in five starts on Flat but has hinted at winning potential in three maiden hurdles so far. Starts handicapping life off a workable mark and appeals as one to keep a close eye on.
Looked very moderate in first seven starts but did better last time when 5th at Limerick in December, beaten some way though. May have finally got the idea and interesting to see if she can build on latest effort.
Maiden in 12 starts on Flat for Richard Hannon and no luck so far in nine unplaced runs over hurdles. Form looks moderate and very hard to enthuse over.
Winning point-to-pointer but unplaced in five races under Rules. Absent for 22 months so likely to need the run and is difficult to fancy.
Formerly trained by Christy Roche. First start for new handler but has disappointed after showing pormise on debut at Navan last April. Low mark for handicap bow so not totally dismissed, especially if there's any sign of money for her.
Beaten a long way on handicap debut last time but that was over 5f further. Drop back in trip looks sensible but needs to get her act together soon.
34-race maiden but didn't run badly penultimate start on debut for new yard and will be fit following spin at Dundalk last month. Not a complete no-hoper.
Refused at the final flight on latest start but had run with credit when placed on previous two runs. Hard to know what to expect this time but worth a market check.
Very moderate mare but ran OK on latest start. Still a maiden after 13 attempts and up against it once more.
Forecasts
Coole Craft (9/2), Rock On Barney (11/2), Winsor Vixen (13/2), Littlestickarubarb (15/2), Lets High Five It (8/1), Trans Wood (8/1), Dukes Avenue (10/1), She's Made It (10/1), Glen's Dd (12/1), Aldawayfornothing (16/1), Sunset Sadie (20/1), Zipporah (20/1), Moll Dote (25/1), Nicat's Benefit (25/1), De Bennette (25/1), Rock On Bach (25/1), Not Touch (33/1), Flemish Maid (40/1), Allez Amour (50/1)
Some very ordinary horses in this race so a chance for COOLE CRAFT to return to the winner's enclosure. Littlestickarubarb is quite interesting on her first start for connections returning from a break, and Aldawayfornothing also catches the eye on its first start in a handicap. Moll Dote, Nica's Benefit and Ziporah are others that are hard to rule out.
- Coole Craft
- Aldawayfornothing
- Littlestickarubarb
