C&D winner last winter who also won at Wolverhampton in November and went close in a handicap at Chelmsford last time. Remains open to improvement and likely to make her presence felt in this company.

Without a win in 11 races, eight of them on the AW, and invariably been sent off at a big price. Toiled over 6f here on Wednesday and little hope on official ratings.

Looks very limited on the evidence of her 11 starts to date and was last of four when sent off 100/1 for a similar event won by Normorecalls over C&D earlier this month. Readily passed over.

Lightly-raced and probably didn't need to improve when readily opening his account in a similar event over C&D earlier this month, making all. Open to progress and clearly has to be considered.

Signs of promise without winning for John Gosden but obliged on second attempt for this yard when scoring from a mark of 74 in a 6f handicap here on Wednesday. Sets the standard on that form and looks the one to beat.

Forecasts

Poetic Imagination (4/9), Nomorecalls (7/4), Berryessa (9/4), Taurean Gold (50/1), Dramatic Voice (66/1)

Verdict

Former John Gosden inmate, POETIC IMAGINATION took a big leap forward when readily opening his account for Archie Watson in a 6f handicap here earlier in the week and, providing this race doesn't come too soon, it's hard to look beyond him. That said, Berryessa and Nomorecalls should each have enough in their lockers to make this competitive with the less exposed latter preferred from a forecast perspective.
  1. Poetic Imagination
  2. Nomorecalls
  3. Berryessa
