£30,000 purchase from Goffs sales last year but has failed to sparkle in three starts here and at Lingfield over 6f/7f. Has undergone wind surgery since previous run on New Year's Eve.
Filly produced better effort over this trip on second AW start at Dundalk last month, going down 3½L in seventh of 14 in competitive heat. Dropped 2lb and with Nicola Currie's claim could go well.
Picked up a C&D event on handicap debut in August from this mark, didn't progress after and now makes debut for new connections off a short break. Respected back here in this company if money arrives.
Career-best when scoring over C&D in early January, well enough held in three outings since and remains 4lb above that winning mark, so needs addition of blinkers to spark a bit more.
Decent pedigree and put some poor maiden form behind her when opening her account on her handicap debut over 6f at Lingfield last month, landing a gamble as she did. Credible run here next time and could yet have more to offer.
Filly was an eye-catcher in 5f Dundalk handicap in November when beaten 1½L off mark 6lb higher than this. Again ran well there over this trip in December and commands respect now fitted with a first-time visor and aided by rider's claim.
First run for this yard when held readily enough over this trip at Wolverhampton 10 days ago, may show more in time. Trainer has two in here and appears second best on from.
Filly improved to make winning start on AW/handicap debut over C&D three weeks ago, doing so with a bit in hand it appeared. Goes up 7lb for that but every chance she's going to mount another big challenge.
Forecasts
Chloellie (11/4), Quick Recovery (7/2), Downtown Diva (5/1), Istanbul Pasha (6/1), Sea Ess Seas (7/1), Vodka Pigeon (10/1), Salty Sugar (10/1), W G Grace (14/1)
The betting ought to prove an invaluable asset here, with plenty of these potentially holding sound claims. Quick Recovery landed a gamble at Lingfield last month on handicap debut and should have more to come after shaping well here since while C&D winner W G Grace would be noted should any money arrive for just his second start at this track off the same mark as his win. Chloellie impressed on handicap/AW debut to score here three weeks ago in the sort of manner that suggested a 7lb hike may not stop here but DOWNTOWN DIVA has shaped well at Dundalk this winter from higher marks than this and with 3lb claimed, could be on a very lenient mark for this first British run with a first-time visor fitted.
- Downtown Diva
- Chloellie
- Quick Recovery
