Has taken time to develop, his best effort being when a 2½L third at Fontwell (2m3f, heavy) over hurdles in December. Disappointed when sporting today's headgear combi for the first time at Plumpton last month. May do better now jumping fences.

Has yet to win over fences, but placed in half of his six starts, two over those being here. 1lb drop going into this gives him a squeak once again and he should not be too far away.

Has returned from a lengthy absence with two runs over hurdles this season, putting up his best completed effort for some time when third at Fakenham (2m4f, heavy) last month. Drops 2lb for chase debut and bred to do this, so enters calculations.

Another maiden going into this and also makes her chase debut. Best effort over hurdles was when 6L third at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good to soft) in November. 1lb lower here, but had one or two jumping issues over hurdles, so a bit to prove over fences.

0-10 so far and his best effort since his first two bumper runs came at Doncaster (2m3f, soft) last time, when 4L second from today's mark. Consistency has thus far eluded him, but if he can repeat that effort then he would have claims.

0-16 under rules and has made the frame 1-6 over fences, when 1½L third at Bangor (2m4½f, heavy) last month. Not as good over 3m last time, but has a squeak back over this trip if she can get back to that Bangor form, despite being 2lb 'wrong',

Forecasts

Dylanseoghan (15/8), Must Havea Flutter (4/1), Clondaw Westie (9/2), Heresmynumber (11/2), Heavenly Promise (11/2), Grow Nasa Grow (6/1), Psychocandy (8/1)

Verdict

A maiden chase in all but name, as the collective record under rules of this field reads 0-68 and with that in mind punters are advised to tread very carefully indeed. With everything carrying risks, the tentative suggestion is HERESMYNUMBER, who might have a bit of confidence back after his latest run, drops 2lb going into this and makes his debut in a discipline that he is bred for. Dylanseoghan's form perhaps has a more solid look to it, though less scope for improvement, while Must Havea Flutter appeals more over this longer trip and Clondaw Westie is not ruled out on his chasing introduction.
