Beat only one horse home in a couple of starts in bumpers for Noel Wilson in 2014/15, and it's anyone's guess as to where he's been since. Debuts on the Flat for a new trainer, but with next to no chance whatsoever.
Finished last on both starts so far at Leicester and Southwell (7f) and is best left well alone as a result.
Not overly encouraging in four starts in Ireland for Willie McCreery (5f to 7f), and was moved on cheaply for just £1,200 in November. Couldn't be considered.
Unraced fourth foal by Equiano out of the 1m winner World Spirit. Half-sister to 1m4f AW winner Authorized Spirit, so a surprise if she's got the required toe or nous in order to figure on debut.
110,000 gns Kodiac colt who looks to be a free going sort. Shaped better when held up (still keen) at Lingfield last month when finishing 3½L fourth to Carouse (Daltrey second). More to offer, and likely competitive in a weak race.
Unraced fifth foal by Havana Gold out of Trick Or Treat. Half-brother to numerous winners including Medrano (7f to 1m3f) and Guising (1m3f to 1m4f). Bred to stay further than this 7f trip.
Posted a promising debut for Charlie Fellowes in June (5f+ soft), but was moved on the following month for 27,000 gns. Not picked up the baton for his new trainer yet, and the cheek-pieces are now applied for the first time.
Unraced third foal by Approve out of an unraced dam (Timbre). Half-brother to a couple of winners; Textured (7f AW) and Stroke of Midnight (extended mile), so definitely worthy of a market check.
Left her previous efforts firmly behind when finishing 1L second to No More Thrills at Chelmsford last month (7f novice stakes). Fair to say things didn't quite go her way there (bumped early), but an obvious contender if form is taken literally.
Unraced filly by Swiss Spirit out of Vitta's Touch. Represents high profile owners (cost £45,000 as a juvenile), but her trainer wouldn't be a regular source of winners in such events, so the market will provide the best guide as to her chances.
Forecasts
Breaking Records (8/11), Flora Tristan (7/2), Sounds Approving (9/2), Mearing (9/1), Involved (20/1), Where's Mummy (20/1), Beaming (50/1), Stapleford (80/1), Dawlish (150/1), Ritas Legacy (150/1)
Probably not quite as competitive as Division 1 at 5.45pm, so this is a race that most likely lies with the market principals. Flora Tristan took an unexpected step forward at Chelmsford on her latest start, and in receipt of plenty of weight from the colts and geldings (further enhanced by her riders 7lb claim) has alluring claims if you elect to take that form as read. However, with just a few nagging doubts lurking in the back of ones mind, preference is for the Hugo Palmer trained BREAKING RECORDS. Whilst he's never likely to fully live up to his name, he appeared to learn plenty from being held up at Lingfield last month, and expertly handled by Josephine Gordon tonight, should have plenty more to offer.
