Off time: 16:40 | Winning time: 4m 35.00s

Brascoe⁸⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: Aidan Coleman| T: J & A O'Neill

8/1

Placed in a couple of minor point-to-points and makes debut under rules for a top yard, but one which has not been the force it was in this class of race.

Form: 2P2

Hunt Politics²⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: R Johnson| T: W Greatrex

10/1

Second string and claimer ridden when down the field on Newbury debut. Champion jockey on board this time, but significant improvement will still be needed.

Form: P1-0

Know The Score⁹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe

15/8

Authoritative winner of a Ballinaboola point-to-point in November (Senior Citizen second). Recorded by far the quickest time of the day and it took £380,000 to acquire this half-brother to ten time winner Cailin Annamh.

Form: 1

Milanstorm

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies

5/1

Makes only minimal appeal on pedigree but as an inmate of a yard that do well in these events, has to be given respect. Once again, the market is probably the best guide as to chances today.

Form:

Senior Citizen⁹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Wayne Hutchinson| T: A King

5/2

Seventh foal of a dam who was successful from 2m-3m4f but who is yet to produce a winner. No match for Know The Score in a point-to-point, but safe to argue his yard is in better form than that of his rival.

Form: 2

Supremely Lucky⁷³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton

7/1

Runner-up in an Irish point-to-point (soft/heavy) in December which has worked out well and bought in for £34,000. In good hands and stable 14% in this sphere over past five seasons, so market check very much advised.

Form: P-2

KNOW THE SCORE readily accounted for Senior Citizen in a point-to-point when he showed a high cruising speed in a race recording by far the fastest time of the day. This is an entirely different discipline, but given the speed he showed that day he can repay some of his hefty price tag even though his stable are not flourishing at present. In contrast Alan King's horses are in great shape so Senior Citizen must rate a big danger, whilst the form of Supremely Lucky's last point-to-point run has substance.
