Dual-purpose performer who is yet to win on the Flat in Britain. Has been given a wind operation since down the field in last year's Ascot Stakes, and makes his first appearance since that race (under either code) here.
Has won three of his last four starts (exception when fourth in the Cesarewitch) including a good handicap at Newcastle last month. Up another 2lb but this step back up in trip is likely to suit.
Second over a similar trip at Kempton last time out off this mark. Has won over C&D in the past and a similar performance should see him go close at the very least.
Short head winner here two starts back and stays this longer trip well. Ran okay at Kempton last time out and no reason he can't run his usual good race on his return to this track.
Almost all good form is over shorter than this (both wins have come at Kempton), including when beaten less than a length over less than 1m2f here two starts back. Probably stays this far but better over shorter.
May have needed the run on his first start in a British Flat race since 2014 at Lingfield last time but dramatic improvement is still needed as he steps up in trip.
Second over C&D last time out having run some good races in staying handicaps towards the end of the 2017 turf season. On the same mark here and entitled to go well albeit in a much better race.
Forecasts
Dubawi Fifty (10/11), Velvet Revolution (7/2), Haines (7/1), Suegioo (9/1), Gwafa (11/1), Sam Missile (16/1), Iniciar (50/1)
There's a good chance that DUBAWI FIFTY may prove a class apart from the rest of these. Having won three of his last four starts and finishing fourth in the Cesarewitch on the other he is clearly in good form and makes plenty of appeal stepping back up in trip following a narrow victory at Newcastle last time out. He should be better over this trip and is taken to see off recent Kempton runner-up Haines and old favourite in these races Suegioo.
- Dubawi Fifty
- Haines
- Suegioo
