Crept up the ratings after a handful of solid performances - won well on his penultimate start but looked anchored under a 9lb higher mark last time. Respected but another stiff test at the weights.
Acts well with cut in the ground but doesn't appear to be especially well treated just now; was hit with a 7lb hike for finishing second on his penultimate start and had his limitations exposed at Sedgefield last month.
Very consistent since joining his current trainer but has obviously endured training issues since last seen out (won a maiden hurdle by 18l at Southwell last May). Big chance on form but needs to prove his fitness.
Stayed on well to score at Wetherby last time out and has to be respected from just a 3lb higher mark (noteworthy a 5lb claimer takes the reigns today). Interesting if supported but needs to be at his best once more.
Joined his current yard after winning a point-to-point in good style last May. However, his efforts under rules have yet to set the world alight and it's entirely possible he may do better when sent over fences. Other preferred just now.
In good form just now and far from disgraced when third over C&D latest. Yard won this race last year and has a sound chance of claiming backing to back renewals.
Good effort at Sedgefield last time and has to merit respect from the same mark. Could be good value for a place in the frame at least.
Of just average ability on the Flat and three starts over hurdles haven't yielded much of a return. Improvement needed.
0-12 over hurdles so far but posted a better effort last time out. Off since then (last August) but hold place claims if able to use that as a platform, so worth a check in the betting at least.
Forecasts
Gran Maestro (3/1), Reverant Cust (9/2), Monfass (5/1), Hit And Run (13/2), The Crazed Moon (8/1), Bonne Question (8/1), Red Ochre (9/1), Adherence (14/1), Motion To Strike (25/1)
HIT AND RUN has plenty going for him at this level and is fancied to give his yard back-to-back wins in this particular race. Top weight Monfass and Bonne Question spearhead the challenge form the rest and merit plenty of respect, while a move for Red Orchre has solid foundations for making the frame at least.
- Hit And Run
- Monfass
- Red Ochre
