Son of the yard's speedy filly Annie Beach and fulfilled early promise by beating a modest lot in a Southwell maiden last month. Faces a much stiffer task here, but the best is probably still to come.

Takes a keen hold which may be a problem in this small field off a career high mark. Has won his last two here and should again account for Lord Of The Glen. Beaten since at Kempton, where he lost a shoe, but chances of a recovery on this surface.

Course form figures read 2,1,2,1,2 so that sequence will raise hopes. Flattered by his proximity to Wiff Waff in another three-runner race last month, but worth noting his victories have come on the only occasions he has set off in front.

Wiff Waff (6/4), Kodi Beach (7/4), Lord Of The Glen (2/1)

Verdict

In what could prove a tactical affair, Lord Of The Glen may be asked to repeat the front running tactics that have brought his two successes over this C&D. Having been ridden more patiently last time he certainly needs to do something different to overturn form with WIFF WAFF who beat him comfortably. Stuart Williams' horses are running well and the selection is sent back here having run below par at Kempton last time. Kodi Beach is an unknown quantity who boasts a speedy pedigree, but his handicap mark factors in a lot of the anticipated potential rather than what he has achieved so far.
