Unlucky not to be unbeaten in his last four as he got boxed in three starts ago. This trip is a minimum so this stiff finish will suit. Rider has won on him before which is an asset in these races and his claim helps offset his revised mark.

Only had to run to the form of his previous victory to score last time and not as favourably treated here after a break. Has the size and scope to progress further, so cannot be dismissed under an experienced rider.

Not as progressive as some in this, however stable are in the midst of a good spell as is the rider.

Bred to want further than this, however he has failed to get home in three previous starts over 7f. Handicap debut here and will be fitter for last run which came after a six month break. Good lad on board and worth a market check.

0-9 but certainly has a small race in him judged on his last two starts. Step up to a mile could help him out and rider is a better than expected 5-32 around here. His claim leaves his mount receiving plenty of weight and they will have a big say.

Verdict

Recent winners Mr Carbonator and Lord Caprio are hard to ignore despite their recent rises in the handicap. The former arrives late on the scene and that makes it hard for the handicapper to assess his improvement. Edward Greatrex is an eyecatching booking for Lord Caprio who has won his last two here. This looks a tougher assignment, but as a big rangy sort there is probably more improvement to come. BAD DOG will be receiving upwards of a stone from the above pair when taking his rider's claim into account. Harrison Shaw rides this track particularly well and his mount has looked ready for the extra furlong he tackles here after going close last time in similar company. Toohottotouch comes from a family of winners and has been waiting for his chance in handicaps, whilst Foxy Lady does not have an obvious chance on form but both trainer and jockey are in good form.
