A winner of a point-to-point in November and has now joined a leading yard. Worth a check in the mark; tongue strap on.
Fair third on debut at Southwell in November. Has had a short break since and not ruled out of filling a place once again.
Won the last of his three point-to-points and has now joined this leading yard for £90,000. One for the shortlist on rules debut.
Cost €65,000 as a 3yo and had a very interesting pedigree. Claims having been sent into training with this top handler.
Kalanisi gelding who cost €26,000 as a 3yo. Dam won a bumper but only half-brother was better over longer trips.
Presenting gelding. Fair pedigree with some Flat influence but not the most interesting of the newcomers here and more like a place prospect.
Down the field on only start for Charlie Longsdon in April. Off since and plenty of improvement needed in this competitive affair.
Black Sam Bellamy gelding who doesn't have the most interesting pedigree on offer and is fitted with a tongue strap and cheek pieces for this racecourse debut.
Beaten 49L on Huntingdon debut on Boxing Day and needs to completely leave that form behind to prove competitive here.
Point-to-point winner who makes his first start under rules here. Has changed hands for £300,000 since and looks a leading contender here.
Midnight Legend gelding who cost £21,000 as a 3yo. First foal of a mare who was unplaced in her bumpers.
Third of ten on debut at Hereford last time. Shaped like the type to better over further in time but sticks to 2m here.

Forecasts
Beakstown (10/3), Gold Blade (7/2), Imperial Aura (6/1), Mr Pumblechook (6/1), Straight Red (7/1), Getaway Trump (8/1), Serosevsky (10/1), Commanche Red (11/1), Stop The World (14/1), Master Card (16/1), Zee Man (33/1), Samurai Sam (50/1), Mr Dorrell Sage (66/1), Shouldagonetovegas (66/1)
A good quality bumper (especially as it's only the first of two divisions), and STRAIGHT RED narrowly makes most appeal. Mostly due to his big price tag and the fact he won his only point-to-point in good style despite being hampered by a loose horse. That was only at the beginning of December so he should be relatively fit as well. Gold Blade and Beakstown are among the others worth keeping an eye on in the betting.
- Straight Red
- Gold Blade
- Beakstown
