Impressive winner on hurdles bow at Hereford (2m3½f, soft) in December and chased home talented Mr Whipped last month at Warwick in Grade 2 novice (2m5f, soft). Winner boosted form when clear second in Albert Bartlett trial at Musselburgh on Sunday.
Irish point-to-point winner, made successful start for this yard in Warwick bumper in April 2016. Managed to get to the track only three times since over hurdles and nothing in that form to suggest he will be landing this pot.
Well fended off in maiden hurdles at Bangor (2m5f, soft) and Southwell (2m, soft) late last year, failing to truly convince with his jumping at times. Would be a surprise if he should land this.
Point-to-point winner on good to firm ground in May and has faced two useful novices rated 130 and 146 on his last two starts. Doubly entered at Cheltenham Festival next month and interesting again. Yard's last four runners have all won.
Runner-up in all three starts over timber so far, latest being last month at Kempton (3m½f, soft). Entitled to be in the mix again with Nicholls team in good tune, may settle for minor honours yet again though.
Showed some promised in pair of bumpers at Bangor this season, upped in journey for maiden test of jumping and not facing an easy task amongst some useful rivals. May learn from this experience.
Well held in a couple of bumpers for David Loder last season, improved on debut for this stable at Southwell (1m7½f, good) in November. Bred to do better over hurdles but didn't show much in Ludlow novice (2m, soft) last month and hard to fancy.
Forecasts
Paisley Park (11/8), Secret Investor (2/1), Gowiththeflow (10/3), Stylish Moment (12/1), Everybody's Talkin (25/1), Clondaw Cracker (33/1), Quine des Champs (66/1)
PAISLEY PARK makes solid appeal in this contest having run a good second behind Mr Whipped last month at Warwick in Grade 2 company. That rival didn't do the form any damage at Musselburgh on Sunday and having looked useful in successful hurdles bow at Hereford previously, Emma Lavelle's charge can regain the winning thread now. Secret Investor has finished second in all three starts over hurdles and will get involved once more but Gowiththeflow may be the bigger danger for the in-form Ben Pauling yard. He's got a couple of entries at Cheltenham next month and has shown decent form so far over timber. Jumping debutant Stylish Moment is one to pay attention to in the betting.
- Paisley Park
- Gowiththeflow
